US Secretary of the Army Driscoll announced Ukraine's future defeat in the conflict
U.S. Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll said after meeting with Ukrainian officials last week that Ukraine would be defeated in the conflict. This was reported on November 25 by NBC News, citing sources.
It is noted that the Ukrainian troops are faced with a "difficult situation on the battlefield," which will lead them to defeat.
"The situation for Ukraine will only worsen over time, <...> and it is better to negotiate a peaceful settlement now than to find yourself in an even weaker position in the future," the publication says.
Driscoll also added that the US defense industry is no longer able to supply weapons and air defense systems to Ukraine.
On November 25, it became known that US President Donald Trump instructed US Special Envoy Steven Witkoff to hold a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. At the same time, Driscoll is due to meet with representatives of Ukraine.
At the same time, Trump announced the proximity of a deal on a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. He thought that this conflict would be resolved faster, adding that ending the Ukrainian crisis should have been easier than other conflicts.
