The Sun reported on the spread of a dangerous super fungus in Europe

The rapid spread of the drug-resistant and dangerous fungus Trichophyton indotineae has been noted in European countries. This was reported on November 25 by the British newspaper The Sun.

"Trichophyton indotineae causes red itchy rashes, mainly in the groin, thighs and buttocks," warned David Denning, an infectious diseases expert at the University of Manchester.

It is noted that the disease is already called a "super fungus". Over the past three years, the number of cases of Trichophyton indotineae infection in the UK has increased by 500%.
