The demand for horoscopes, lunar calendars and weather forecasts is growing noticeably by the end of the year among Russians. This was shown by a study of the Odnoklassniki social network, which I reviewed on November 26. "Газета.Ru ".

According to the survey, half of Russians (50%) admit the influence of the phases of the Moon on their lives, most often they are women and people over 65 years old. More than 35% regularly or occasionally use the lunar calendar, with the older generation showing the greatest interest.
"When asked why Russians turn to the lunar calendar, respondents noted that they use it for gardening and plant care (44%)," the study says.
Every third user is interested in the lunar calendar out of curiosity, and another 21% use it to monitor their own well-being.
Half of the respondents believe that horoscopes affect their lives. Among those who read horoscopes, 59% say that predictions come true often, while 28% do not pay attention to coincidences, mainly among the older generation. The main topics of predictions are luck (26%) and health (23%), while women are more likely to be interested in predictions for luck, and men are more likely to be interested in health.
The study noted that 18% of Russians monitor forecasts of magnetic storms daily and take them into account in their lives. Women are more involved (20% versus 12% for men), and people over 65 show the greatest interest (23%).
Earlier, on May 26, it was reported that ads for esoteric services were actively distributed on the forums of the shadow Internet, as well as topics on this topic were being opened. Since the beginning of 2025, more than 1,000 posts have been published.
