The parliament announced an SBU check on Mindich's access to state secrets.
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) will check whether businessman Timur Mindich, who fled the country amid a high-profile corruption scandal, had access to state secrets. This was announced on November 25 by Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Alexei Goncharenko (listed in the Russian Federation as a terrorist and extremist).
"The Prosecutor General's Office will send an appeal to the SBU to verify information about Mindich's access to state secrets, as well as possible cooperation with special services. It is very interesting to know the results," the deputy wrote in his Telegram channel.
On November 10, Politico newspaper reported on the disclosure by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) of a corruption scheme in the country's energy companies. The Ukrainian edition of "Country.ua" then noted that Mindich and former Energy Minister German Galushchenko had been searched in the case. People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak said that "this is not all," hinting at a possible continuation of the anti-corruption operation.
On November 11, NABU announced that seven people had been charged, including businessman Mindich, an associate of President Vladimir Zelensky. According to the bureau, Mindich was in charge of the corruption scheme. A few hours before the start of the searches, the businessman managed to leave the country using his passport without any obstacles.
Later, on November 22, Interfax-Ukraine reported that the defendants in the corruption case in Ukraine, Timur Mindich and Alexander Zuckerman, were officially put on the wanted list. The Agency adds that information about the search appeared in the database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The date of Mindich's disappearance is November 10, 2025, and Zuckerman's is October 26, 2025.
