Russians bought a record number of used electric vehicles in a month

Sales of used electric vehicles in Russia in mid-autumn set a record in the history of market surveillance, the analytical agency Autostat reported on November 25. So, by the end of October, 2,191 used electric cars were purchased in the Russian Federation, which is 35% more than a month earlier and 67% higher than the result of a year ago.

Almost a third (32%) of used electric car sales came from the Nissan brand, which produced 700 units. The second position is occupied by the Chinese Zeekr (282 units), followed by Tesla (261 units). The top five brands also included Moskvich and Volkswagen (245 and 129 units, respectively).

The Nissan Leaf still holds the first place in the model rating, 677 such cars were registered in the Russian Federation in October. Moskvich 3e (245 units) came in second place, pushing Zeekr 001 (200 units) to the third position.

In just 10 months of 2025, 12 thousand used electric vehicles were purchased in the Russian Federation, which is 25% more than in January — October last year.

Earlier, on November 19, it was reported that the average cost of new electric vehicles in Russia in 2025 decreased by 19.8% compared to last year, reaching 5.15 million rubles, and the most popular models were the Ora 03, Evolve i-Pro and Zeekr 001.
