Activists of the Gagarin District Youth Chamber of Moscow have made eight humanitarian flights to the special military operation zone and new regions of Russia this year. This was reported in the press service of the prefecture of the South-Western Administrative District of the capital.

The volunteers delivered more than 10 tons of cargo to the free zone, including consumables for chainsaws, wires for generators, batteries, grinders, axes, cameras for wheels, as well as camouflage nets.

The prefecture noted that hundreds of people are engaged in volunteer activities in the Gagarin district. For several years now, they have been helping both the military and civilians. During one of the trips, the volunteers met people who had lost loved ones and were left without property.

Then it was decided to expand the humanitarian mission — the project "Children of Donbass" was created.: strength is in unity." Its participants not only regularly travel with humanitarian aid, but also organize patriotic events. For example, in August, as part of the project, volunteers delivered cargo to Donetsk for Lidia Kovaleva, who is raising more than 40 foster children. The family was given, in particular, household appliances, kitchen utensils, and drinking water.

To the project "Children of Donbass: strength in unity" was joined by more than 100 residents from different regions of the country. Humanitarian aid came from the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Voronezh, Syzran, Tver, as well as from the Komi Republic.
