The head of AVTOVAZ announced an increase in investments in production
AVTOVAZ's investment program in 2025 will amount to 45 billion rubles, and a similar amount of investment is planned for next year. This was announced by the head of the company Maxim Sokolov during a round table in the Federation Council, TASS reported on November 25.
According to Sokolov, last year the volume of the investment program amounted to almost 40 billion rubles. As Sergey Gromak, Vice President for External Relations and Shareholder Relations, told earlier, AvtoVAZ plans to allocate more than 45 billion rubles annually for investments in production up to 2030.
Sokolov pointed out that AvtoVAZ continues to maintain the volume of investments and develop the model range, as well as fulfill the terms of the speccinvestcontract (SPIC), under which the company exceeded the conditions this year by 30%. It was assumed that by 2030 the total volume of investments would amount to 100 billion rubles, but in 2025 they reached 133 billion rubles.
The head of the car company also said that in 2026, harsh external conditions will continue to affect the Russian car market next year. He noted that the market decline is due to macro-financial conditions, the Central Bank's interest rate, tighter lending conditions, as well as "heavy dumping by the Chinese automotive industry."
The day before, it was reported that the production of Lada cars at AvtoVAZ's site in Tolyatti by the end of 2025 will decrease by 40% compared to last year and will amount to 274 thousand cars. Such an assessment is given in the materials for the meeting of the Tolyatti representative body.
Prior to that, on November 21, the head of AvtoVAZ announced that prices for Lada cars would be indexed due to an increase in the actual cost of cars. He noted that by the end of 2025, the company intends to sell 370,000 vehicles, including exports, of which 350,000 are on the domestic market (a decrease of about 23% compared to 2024).
