Lavrov pointed to the hypocrisy of the G7 member countries

The G7 countries are living out their days, as its members show incompetence and hypocrisy. This was announced on November 25 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

In June, The New York Times (NYT) noted that US President Donald Trump had demonstrated allied behavior towards Russia at the Group of Seven summit in Canada. The American leader himself also called Russia's exclusion from the G8 a mistake, noting that perhaps this would have prevented the outbreak of the Ukrainian crisis.
