Stocks of new passenger cars in Russia decreased by 100,000 in three months

Over the past three months, from August to October, the stock of passenger cars in the warehouses of dealers and distributors in Russia has decreased by more than 100 thousand units. Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, told about this in his Telegram channel on November 25.

So, from August to October, 411 thousand new passenger cars were sold on the Russian market. At the same time, Russian enterprises produced 197,000 cars, and another 112,000 new passenger cars were imported into the country.

As a result, according to calculations, the net difference (registrations minus production and imports) amounted to 102 thousand cars. As Tselikov noted, special accounting and exports can also be extracted to this volume, for which there is no exact data (an estimated increase of 10%).

In the first half of the year, the sum of production and imports roughly corresponded to the monthly volumes of new cars registered, the analyst said.

Earlier, on October 13, it was reported that the stock of passenger cars in the warehouses of dealers and distributors in the Russian Federation for nine months decreased by 100 thousand units. At the beginning of the year, stocks were estimated at 500,000 vehicles. In September, it was noted that the Russian automotive market is stabilizing the situation with overstocking, which arose at the end of last year.
