Russia expresses its gratitude to Belarus for its unwavering attention to the common efforts of Moscow and Minsk and its support. This was announced on November 25 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

"First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to the Belarusian allies for their constant close attention and support in all our common endeavors," Lavrov said at a joint meeting of the boards of the foreign ministries with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Maxim Ryzhenkov.

He drew attention to the fact that the Russian Federation and Belarus, guided by the program of the Union State's foreign policy, are intensively cooperating on the platforms of common Eurasian associations — the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), as well as BRICS, the Organization of The United Nations (UN) and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

"In all these structures, we act in solidarity on almost all international issues. We are implementing important joint initiatives, including strengthening security and stability in Eurasia," Lavrov said.

Ryzhenkov announced on the same day that Belarus will open a branch of the embassy in Voronezh by the end of 2025. He recalled that in 2023-2025, six branches of the Embassy of Belarus in Russia were transformed into consulates General. According to him, institutions in Vladivostok, Kaliningrad and Nizhny Novgorod have started functioning only this year. Ryzhenkov stressed that such diplomatic missions ensure accessibility for citizens and businesses.
