PSB will allocate more than 100 billion rubles for the construction of the Baim Mining and processing plant in the Chukotka Autonomous Region. This was reported in the press service of the bank.

The project involves the construction of 46 production and infrastructure facilities, including a year-round port terminal and a road with a length of more than 400 km between the field and the new port for shipping products along the Northern Sea Route, as well as the creation of generating capacities to provide the enterprise with electricity.

The total cost of the VEB State Corporation project.The Russian Federation implements over 1 trillion rubles in the framework of the Project Finance Factory program together with its partners.

The commissioning of the first stage of GOK facilities is scheduled for 2029, and the second stage for 2030. The production volume is projected at up to 70 million tons of ore per year.

"The construction of the Baimsky GOK is a strategically important project for the Russian economy, which makes a significant contribution to the development of the Far East and strengthening the industrial potential of our country. Its implementation will not only ensure the creation of a modern mining infrastructure, but will also become a driver for the modernization of the region's transport system and energy supply," said Sergey Dobrin, Senior Vice President of PSB.
