This year, the capital has signed five offset contracts in the field of transport. These agreements with counter-investment obligations will become an important part of the industry's transition to domestic technologies, said Maxim Liksutov, Moscow's Deputy Mayor for Transport and Industry.

He recalled that one of the objectives of the Moscow industrial development strategy, approved by Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, is to support the creation of new industries in the city. "Offset contracts are the drivers of the development of advanced technologies in industry. In accordance with the order of the Mayor of Moscow, the capital concludes such agreements in all areas of urban economy. The total volume of private investments in the expansion and modernization of the production of high—tech products for urban transport and road safety will amount to about 2.6 billion rubles," Liksutov said.

Under the five contracts concluded this year, investors will supply products for urban transport. These include high-tech devices for selling travel tickets, secure access modules for equipping turnstiles, validators, ticket counters, and modern turnstiles with the ability to pay using biometrics. The production of these products is localized at the sites of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone. "The volume of private investments in the creation of these industries will amount to about 1.4 billion rubles," said Anatoly Garbuzov, Minister of the Moscow Government and head of the Investment and Industrial Policy Department.

Also, for the first time, the production of full-cycle road signs will be localized in the capital. In addition, as part of the offset, the Spetskabel plant will organize the production of 315 items of products for the subway.

Earlier, Sobyanin said that Moscow had signed 36 offset contracts in total. The total volume of purchases under these deals will exceed 730 billion rubles. In total, over 9,000 jobs will be created. Investments in the development of production facilities will amount to more than 126 billion rubles.
