The Humanitarian Aid Fund for Gaza announced the termination of work
The Humanitarian Aid Fund for Gaza (GHF), which was supported by the Israeli and US authorities, announced the completion of its mission and the cessation of work. This was announced on November 24 on the organization's website.
"On November 24, 2025, the Humanitarian Aid Fund for Gaza completed its historic relief mission in the Gaza Strip," the statement said.
It is noted that during its work, the organization distributed more than 3 million food packages containing a total of 187 million servings of food, delivered more than 5,600 tons of potatoes and more than 1,300 tons of onions to Gaza, and supplied 1.1 million packages of ready-to-eat supplemental nutrition for malnourished children.
The Foundation also collaborated with local medical teams that provided assistance to mothers with babies.
In a joint report by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Food Program (WFP) on November 2, it was reported that food shortages threaten millions of people in 16 "hotbeds of hunger." The report highlights the growing food crisis in 16 countries. In six of them — Haiti, Mali, Palestine, South Sudan, Sudan and Yemen — the situation is close to catastrophic. Six more States, including Afghanistan, Syria, Nigeria, Somalia, Myanmar and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, are classified as "particularly worrisome."
Earlier, on September 8, the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Gaza Strip reported that the death toll from hunger in the enclave in 24 hours was 393 people, including 140 children.
