- Sobyanin announced the readiness of the Dostoevskaya station of the Moscow metro at 35%
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on Monday, November 24, said that the construction of the Dostoevskaya station on the Ring Metro line continues and its readiness has reached 35%.
He noted that this is the first new station complex on the historical branch in the last 70 years. According to Sobyanin, the work is complicated by the location in the very center of the city — in dense buildings and near the existing metro, utilities and groundwater, so you have to use the mining method of sinking and do a lot almost manually, Moscow 24 notes.
The ring line itself runs at a depth of 40 m, but the shafts are made even lower — up to 56 m to ensure maximum safety of all work, the website writes. kp.ru .
The mayor added that four mine shafts have already been equipped to deliver materials to accelerate construction, and the Ekaterina complex has begun drilling the fifth ventilation shaft — it is planned to be completed by the end of the year, writes NSN.
The station will appear between Novoslobodskaya and Prospekt Mira at the intersection of Samotechnaya and Durova Streets and will become the 13th on the Ring Line. It will have two lobbies — an underground one on Durova Street and an above-ground one next to the Olympic Stadium. Sobyanin stressed that the opening of Dostoevskaya will improve transport accessibility in the Meshchansky, Tverskoy districts and Maryina Grove and facilitate the way to the Olympic Stadium, the Central House of the Russian Army and the Theater of the Russian Army, as well as reduce the load at Prospekt Mira station, the Moscow City News Agency reports.
