In St. Petersburg, they proposed to increase the parking payment time to 24 hours.
The Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg proposed to increase the parking payment time from 15 minutes to 24 hours. This was announced on November 24 by Alexey Tsivilev, Chairman of the Permanent Commission on Transport and Transport Infrastructure Development.
"The commission considered two draft laws of the Yabloko faction. The first one offered to allow you to pay for parking until the end of the day, and not within 15 minutes after arrival," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
A bill on the introduction of differentiated fines was also considered. So, for the first violation, the driver will pay 1.5 thousand rubles, for the second — 3 thousand rubles. The project has not been supported at the moment.
The Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg proposed adding the ability to correct data to the parking application so that there would be no problems challenging a fine of 3 thousand rubles for typos in specifying data and technical failures in the application.
"Until February 2025, drivers in the capital could make edits within 24 hours after parking started, but no more than 3 times a month. Now this number is unlimited. You can make changes to the session once before the end of the current day," Tsivilev explained.
Earlier, on November 18, the State Duma proposed giving large families the right to free parking throughout Russia for one car, regardless of the specifics of regional legislation.
