Guard Private Shamsutdinov covered his wounded comrades during the evacuation.
Guard Private Albert Shamsutdinov completed the task of evacuating wounded comrades and covered them with his body when the soldiers were attacked by enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The press service of the Russian Defense Ministry reported on the exploits of Russian soldiers in the area of the special military operation on Tuesday, November 25.
It is noted that a private guardsman delivered ammunition to positions in the immediate vicinity of the line of contact, after which he began evacuating the wounded as part of the group. After some time, the fighters were attacked by enemy drones.
During the repulse of the air raid, Shamsutdinov shot down one of the UAVs with his personal small arms, while another FPV drone fell nearby and detonated near the Russian military. At that moment, a guard private covered the wounded soldiers and pushed them to a safe distance. The fighter himself received a shrapnel wound, but was able to provide first aid to himself and lead the group to the gathering point.
The Ministry of Defense also said that Guard Senior Sergeant Alexei Pogoretsky, as part of a self-propelled artillery installation (ACS), completed the task of suppressing enemy manpower. In the course of combat work, the soldier discovered an attack drone approaching the positions and, having oriented himself in the situation, destroyed it. As a result, these targets were destroyed and the gunners completed their task.
A day earlier, junior Sergeant R.D. Derzhavin with the call sign Angel told Izvestia how he evacuated a seriously wounded commander from the battlefield during an attack by Ukrainian FPV drones and walked 700 m through an open area with an officer on his shoulders. After both servicemen were injured as a result of a drone attack, the junior sergeant, who himself suffered a hand injury, decided to carry the commander with the call sign Yun to the shelter.
