During the parliamentary elections in Moldova, there was direct and indirect interference in the electoral process in order to ensure the desired result for the ruling party. This is stated in a statement following a November 24 meeting of the Committee on CIS Issues of the Scientific Expert Council of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.

"The discriminatory policy of the current authorities towards Moldovans living abroad was also highlighted – the Russian part of the Moldovan diaspora was actually deprived of the right to vote in elections," the press service of the Russian Security Council said.

Experts pointed out that after the September parliamentary elections, which were held with numerous violations, the country's leadership continued its course towards accelerated integration into European structures, including the European Union and NATO. The participants noted that the current authorities of the country act as agents of the foreign political agenda.

"The committee's experts stated that the European integration course, coupled with the severance of ties with the CIS and other associations in Eurasia, had a negative impact on the Moldovan economy, which can only be successful in cooperation with the EAEU and, in particular, with Russia," the Security Council staff concluded.

On September 29, the head of the Central Election Commission of Moldova, Angela Karaman, stated that 236 violations were recorded during the last elections in Moldova. They are related to damage to ballots, prohibited campaigning, removal of ballots from the territory of the polling station, suspicion of electoral corruption, violation of voting rights and interference with the activities of the electoral body.

On the same day, former President of the republic, leader of the Party of Socialists Igor Dodon told Izvestia that the ruling Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) had not won at the polls in Moldova following the results of the parliamentary elections in the country. He added that the opposition in the republic had protested the results of the parliamentary elections.
