The US Secretary of the Army, the new special representative of the American leader Donald Trump for Ukraine, Daniel Driscoll, may visit Russia after talks in Geneva to discuss a peace plan. This was reported on November 23 by the CBS News channel, citing sources.

"Another possible outcome of the Geneva talks is that Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll may travel to Russia or meet with Russian officials elsewhere," the publication says.

At the same time, the TV channel, citing unnamed Russian officials, writes that such a trip has not yet been planned. In addition, a White House official told CBS that the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the United States is also in question.

On the same day, European Commission (EC) spokeswoman Paula Pinho said that constructive progress had been made in negotiations to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. She also noted that the leaders of the countries belonging to the "coalition of the willing" will hold a videoconference on Tuesday, November 25, to discuss peace talks.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio yesterday called the negotiations on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine in Geneva the most productive of all time and clarified that Washington and Kiev had made "tremendous progress" during them. The American Secretary of State also stressed that the United States understands the position of the Russian side in the same way as it understands what is a priority and unacceptable for each of the parties to the Ukrainian conflict.

On November 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that Moscow had received a 28-point plan from Washington, which, according to him, could be used "as the basis for a final peaceful settlement."
