The European Union is making unrealistic demands to resolve the conflict in Ukraine because of its desire to continue the confrontation with Russia. This opinion was shared by journalist Thomas Fasy on November 24.

"It's funny and tragic that the Europeans consider themselves entitled to set conditions. <...> On the other hand, their goal is to continue the conflict at any cost, not to resolve it, so these demands were originally intended to be rejected," he wrote on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

On November 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that the points of US President Donald Trump's plan could form the basis of a final peace agreement, and reaffirmed Russia's commitment to a diplomatic solution to the crisis.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on the same day that Europe wants the conflict in Ukraine to continue. At the same time, according to Orban, European countries also do not intend to participate in financing Kiev, planning to leave it "without a penny."
