Almost 3.5 thousand . mothers in the Tula region received maternity allowances

More than 3,450 residents of the Tula region received maternity benefits. Over 770 million rubles have been allocated for payments since the beginning of 2025, the press service of the regional branch of the Social Fund of the Russian Federation reports.

State aid is provided to all working women who have gone on maternity leave, as well as to those who have adopted a child under the age of three months. The money is paid in a lump sum for the entire period of the young mother's vacation, the duration of which, during the normal course of pregnancy, is 140 days.

According to TSN24, the amount of the payment is calculated based on the average earnings of a woman for the previous two years before going on maternity leave. In 2025, the minimum amount of state aid for a 140-day vacation is 103,285 rubles, the maximum can reach 794,355 rubles.

The organization noted that in 2026, the maximum amount of benefits under a "regular" maternity leave will increase by almost a third and amount to 955,836 rubles. To receive funds, it is enough for the expectant mother to apply for documents at her place of work, and the Social Fund department will appoint the payment without delay.

Earlier, the State Duma proposed to introduce state payments for one of the parents, who will fully devote himself to raising a child until he reaches the age of six. This initiative arose against the background of discussions over several years about measures to support motherhood and fatherhood.
