The State Duma intends to give participants in the Administrative Code cases the right to copy materials

A bill has been submitted to the State Duma, which proposes to allow participants in administrative proceedings to copy case materials, the document is published on the website of the lower house of parliament. As Yaroslav Nilov, one of the authors of the bill, head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, stated in his Telegram channel on November 24, this will change the formal approach to dealing with controversial situations that often occur with car owners.

"The government supported our initiative, so we hope that soon the victims and their defenders will be able to extract extracts from the case materials and make the necessary copies without unnecessary bureaucracy and court interference," Nilov wrote.

Currently, the Code of Civil Procedure, the Code of Administrative Procedure, the Arbitration Procedure Code and the Criminal Procedure Code provide that the persons involved in the case, participants in criminal proceedings on the part of the prosecution and defense, as well as their representatives have the right to get acquainted with the case materials, as well as to make extracts and make copies.

At the same time, the persons against whom proceedings on an administrative offense are being conducted, the victims and their representatives do not have the right to make extracts and make copies of the case materials, which is planned to be changed by amending a number of articles of Chapter 25 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, the explanatory note clarifies.

Day aside: for the absence of a CTP policy, they will be fined once every 24 hours.
