A Russian woman disappeared in Turkey with her 10-year-old son: details
Russian woman Daria Luchkina and her 10-year-old son Maxim disappeared in Turkey after flying to Istanbul on October 17, and nothing has been known about their whereabouts for more than a month. Traces of the woman and child were lost after they left the arrival airport, all this time Daria has not been in touch or logged into social networks. All the details are in the Izvestia article.
What is known about the circumstances of the disappearance
According to the mother of the missing Olga Loginova, Daria informed her family that she was going with her son to a corporate party where the children of colleagues would be. Later it turned out that there was no corporate event — a woman with a child and one backpack went to Sheremetyevo airport and flew to Istanbul. The media reported that the tickets to Turkey were purchased in mid-September, while the passport for the boy was issued shortly before the trip.
It is known that Daria Luchkina left almost all her personal belongings at home, including her son's new tablet, but took all her identification documents with her. It was precisely because of the lack of documents that the relatives had difficulty contacting the Russian Consulate in Turkey for help. According to media reports, an unknown person could meet a woman with a child in a car at Istanbul airport.
The relatives wrote statements to the police and contacted the Russian consulate in Turkey, but after a month of searching, no leads could be found. The mother of the missing woman noted that Daria had recently become withdrawn and uncommunicative, and this summer she shared plans to go live abroad with her child. Daria broke up with Maxim's father about ten years ago, he did not participate in the upbringing of the child in any way.
Other disappearances of Russians in Turkey
This is not the first case of the disappearance of Russian citizens in Turkey recently. Earlier, Irina Kiselyova, a 41-year-old resident of St. Petersburg, came to the country and disappeared after meeting a hotel guest.
The family planned to return home on November 5. With the assistance of the staff of the Consulate General and the Turkish side, the woman's young son was urgently sent to St. Petersburg to visit his grandmother. Local police, coast guard and rescue services continue their search operations, which are complicated by the limited view of surveillance cameras in the resort area.
Later, on November 18, the body of an unidentified woman with earrings similar to Irina's jewelry was found in Turkey. The brother of the missing Valery stated that the body found was 9 cm shorter than his sister's height, completely bald, covered with scars and dressed in other clothes. The deceased also had dental problems, which Irina did not have. At the same time, the inventory of items removed from the body shows only a chain and elastic bands for hair — there are no earrings in the documents.
