Almost 1 thousand dogs have been chipped since the beginning of 2025 in Transbaikalia

In the Trans-Baikal Territory, 808 dogs have been chipped since the beginning of 2025. Besides, they were sterilized.

Such data was provided at an operational meeting of the regional government by the head of the Ministry of Economic Development Jargalma Badmazhapova. She clarified that an additional 3.7 million rubles were allocated from the budget for these purposes.

At the moment, the agency is looking for entrepreneurs who will be able to build new shelters for stray animals in the region, writes ChitaMedia news agency.

At the end of August, it was reported that in Transbaikalia, investigators opened a criminal case because of a dog attack on a two-year-old child. A criminal case was opened into the incident in accordance with Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence").
