Crews of T-80BVM tanks destroyed the support and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Krasnoarmeysk

Crews of T-80BVM tanks of the 55th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle brigade (mountain) of the Center group of forces successfully destroyed a stronghold and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), significantly weakening their positions in the Red Army area of the special military operation. This was announced on November 24 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"We worked through the forest belt occupied by the enemy. <...> Everything was dismantled. We work from closed firing positions, that is, we work on the targets that are given to us...> He hit the average, the average goes for us, it's about 20 [shots], maybe by the 30th, <...> if there are not too many targets, then 10," says senior sergeant and tank commander Vitaly Berezkin about his work.

The Ministry clarified that after receiving the intelligence and confirming it with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), the crew begins a tip-off, which is corrected by infantry and drone video. The tank was aimed at the target and the subsequent shot was fired from 10 km using 125-millimeter high-explosive fragmentation shells.

"The most important thing is accuracy. <...> It all depends on us how we behave, so that everything is clear, that is, basically, clarity and listen to your commander, the tank commander, so that you don't hit your own and destroy the enemy, so that our guys can get through easier and faster," the sergeant notes, gunner-operator Vasily Stryapunin.

The use of combined data from ground reconnaissance and drones to adjust fire is, according to the department, an important element in the successful completion of the task. The "semi-direct targeting" technique, as explained, allows you to integrate these sources of information, significantly increases the accuracy and efficiency of attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
