The sixth season of the Moscow Manor Festival will be held in winter
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced on Saturday, November 22, that the sixth season of the Estates of Moscow festival will be held this winter.
He noted that the program will include 15 estates and mansions, where more than a thousand events are planned — from theatrical performances and excursions to family programs and quests. According to the mayor, the new formats allow citizens to rediscover familiar places. This year, for the first time, a flagship venue will be organized in the Kolomenskoye Museum Reserve with free performances, guided tours, a retro photo studio, a tea shop and postal stations.
As part of the festival, events will also appear on the central venues of the capital: a retro photo studio and a manor post office will be opened on Manezhnaya Square as part of the Journey to Christmas project, and information zones will be set up on Bolotnaya Square and Tverskaya Boulevard.
One of the novelties will be the Moscow Manor winter route, which will cover 14 historical estates and will be presented in the format of an exploration game, Moscow 24 clarifies. Participants will be invited to see how historical architecture and family traditions acquire a modern sound. In addition, manor Clusters will continue to develop routes in the Basmanny district, on Arbat and in Khamovniki, where guests will enjoy audio performances, podcasts and online quests with elements of augmented reality.
The festival has been held for two years and has become a prominent part of Moscow's cultural life. This summer, more than 900,000 people visited its sites, according to the Moscow City News Agency.
