State Duma deputies Sergey Kolunov and Ilya Wolfson have prepared initiatives aimed at combating fraud in real estate transactions, especially involving senior citizens. This became known on November 24 from an appeal addressed to the Chairman of the Supreme Court Igor Krasnov.

"State Duma deputies, together with the expert community, are developing proposals to amend legislation on this issue (fraud in real estate transactions. Among the main ones, the following should be highlighted: mandatory notarization of all transactions related to the acquisition of real estate; mandatory insurance of real estate transactions in authorized organizations if such property is the only one for the seller or buyer," the document says, which is available to RIA Novosti.
