Reuters has learned about Europe's proposal to abandon the deployment of NATO forces in Ukraine

The European counterproposal to the US peace plan for Ukraine suggests the abandonment of the permanent deployment of NATO troops on Ukrainian territory in peacetime and the limitation of the number of Armed Forces of Ukraine to 800 thousand people. This was reported by the Reuters news agency with reference to the relevant document.

In addition, according to the European proposal, Ukraine will receive security guarantees from the United States, similar to Article 5 of the NATO charter, but without full membership in the alliance.
