The United States, together with its European allies, is ready to help Ukraine build a "security wall" along the line of contact if the conflict is resolved. This was reported on November 23 by The Washington Post (WP) journalist David Ignatius, citing sources.
"The United States and its allies will help Ukraine build a security wall along the ceasefire line," the article says.

In the same article, Ignatius, citing sources, said that the special envoy of the President of the United States, Stephen Witkoff, after discussing the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine in Geneva, could come to Russia for talks. According to the journalist, if Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky approves the American plan, Witkoff may fly to Russia for negotiations, but "not immediately." It is claimed that Secretary of State Marco Rubio may accompany him.
Earlier in the day, Rubio and Witkoff arrived in Geneva for talks with Ukraine on the U.S. peace plan. According to a Reuters source, several coordination meetings were held in the morning. Negotiations in various formats between the United States and the Ukrainians will take place throughout the day.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on November 21 that Zelensky's decision-making space was shrinking. According to him, the rejection of a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian crisis and the continuation of a special military operation (SVO) are "senseless and dangerous" for Ukraine. He also noted that Russia remains open to peace negotiations.
