Belgorod region hospitals can fully operate on backup generators

Medical institutions of the Belgorod region are fully prepared to work in conditions of possible power outages. This was announced on November 23 by the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov at a press conference.

"We have installed mobile boiler rooms at the most important social facilities, which are primarily hospitals. We install generators at all social facilities," Gladkov said.

The governor noted that according to the standards, backup power sources should ensure the operation of only intensive care and operating units, however, in the Belgorod region, medical institutions are able to fully switch to autonomous power supply.

On November 9, damage to energy and heat supply systems was fixed in the Belgorod region. It was clarified that the energy industry of the region promptly began restoration work and are taking all possible measures to eliminate the consequences of the attack.
