The Ukrainian delegation, appointed by President Vladimir Zelensky, began work in Geneva. This was announced on November 23 by its head, the head of the office of the president, Andrei Ermak, in his Telegram channel.

The politician noted that he had already held his first meeting with the national security advisers of the leaders of Great Britain, France and Germany — Jonathan Powell, Emmanuel Bonn and Gunther Zautter.

"The next meeting is with the US delegation. We are very constructive. In general, a number of meetings in different formats are planned today. We continue to work together to achieve a sustainable and just peace for Ukraine," he wrote.

On November 22, Zelensky approved the composition of the delegation that is negotiating in Switzerland on the points of the peace plan to resolve the conflict. In addition to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Ermak, its members included Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Rustem Umerov, Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) at the Ministry of Defense Kirill Budanov (listed as a terrorist and extremist in the Russian Federation), Chief of the General Staff Andrei Ignatov, head of the Ukrainian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Oleg Ivashchenko and others.

On November 23, US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Secretary of State Marco Rubio arrived in Geneva to discuss the peace plan. Negotiations will take place throughout the day in various formats between the United States and the Ukrainians.

On November 19, the Axios portal reported on the details of the 28-point US plan to resolve the Ukrainian conflict. It involves the transfer of the territories of Donbass controlled by Ukraine to the Russian Federation in exchange for security guarantees from Washington.
