On November 23, Moscow Region Governor Andrey Vorobyov convenes an operational headquarters to coordinate the restoration of Shatura's infrastructure after a drone attack on a local state regional power plant (GRES).
All emergency services, including the Ministry of Emergency Situations, will take part in the meeting. The main focus will be on restoring the city's heat supply after the damage sustained as a result of the attack. At the moment, the water supply and electricity supply systems are functioning normally.
"Water, sewerage and electricity supply in the city of Shatura are working normally. All measures are being taken to promptly restore heat supply," Vorobyov said on his Telegram channel.
Earlier that day, a fire broke out at the Shatura GRES. 137 people and 49 pieces of equipment, including 59 employees and 19 vehicles of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, were involved in extinguishing the fire. Later, Vorobyov explained that the cause of the fire was a UAV attack. Rescuers managed to contain the fire, there were no casualties.
