Water, sewerage and energy supply in Shatura near Moscow are operating normally after a drone strike on the state regional power plant (GRES). This was announced on November 23 by the Governor of the Moscow region, Andrey Vorobyov.
"Water, sewerage and electricity supply in the city of Shatura are working normally. All measures are being taken to promptly restore heat supply," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
Vorobyov clarified that at 13:00 an operational headquarters will be set up in the city with the participation of all emergency services to determine further work to restore the infrastructure.
Earlier that day, a fire broke out at the Shatura GRES. 137 people and 49 pieces of equipment, including 59 employees and 19 vehicles of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, were involved in extinguishing the fire. Later, Vorobyov explained that the cause of the fire was a UAV attack. Rescuers managed to contain the fire, there were no casualties.
