Liksutov spoke about the growth of machinery and equipment production in Moscow
In Moscow, in the first three quarters of 2025, the production of machinery and equipment increased by 8% compared to January -September last year. This was announced by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Transport and Industry, noting that enterprises produce machine tools, pumps, robotic systems, elevators, conveyors and other products in demand by the city and industry.
"On behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the city actively supports the machine-building industry. Today, almost 250 companies are operating in the capital, employing about 19,000 people," Liksutov said. He clarified that the solutions being developed by Moscow enterprises "are applicable in key areas: from housing and communal services and agriculture to shipbuilding and aircraft construction."
Moscow offers industrial enterprises more than 20 support measures, including the expansion of production capacities as part of the implementation of large-scale investment projects.
Anatoly Garbuzov, Minister of the Moscow Government and Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of the city, pointed out that the mechanical engineering industry was showing "steady growth" year on year. "In five years, from 2019 to 2024, the output of industrial products increased 5.6 times. In particular, in monetary terms, over the first nine months of 2025, the production of centrifugal pumps for liquid supply increased 2.6 times, industrial and laboratory electric furnaces and chambers, as well as induction and heating equipment - 2.4 times," he said.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin previously spoke about the industrial development strategy. The manufacturing industry, which employs over 755,000 people, has become the most important driving force of the city's economy. The Moscow Government is taking measures to support priority high-tech industries, as well as to improve the accessibility and quality of industrial infrastructure.
