In the future, Russians may abandon the use of patronymics in conversation. This was announced on November 23 by the editor-in-chief of the Gramota portal.<url>", Candidate of Philological Sciences Ksenia Kiselyova.

"Of course, patronymics will remain in the passport and other documents, but there will be fewer situations in which they are needed. Today we see a clear desire for more youthful, less formal communication," she said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
