At least 10 passengers were killed and about 20 injured in a bus accident that occurred in the central part of the Republic of Ecuador. This was reported on November 22 by the local TV channel Ecuavisa.

"Ten dead and about twenty injured are the preliminary result of an accident that occurred around noon (about 21:00 Moscow time. - Ed.) on Saturday, November 22, in [the city of] Chon, Manabi province," the article says.

According to preliminary data, the bus driver lost control, as a result of which the vehicle left the route and overturned. Representatives of the police, fire services and the republican Ministry of Health arrived at the scene of the incident. The publication noted that 19 people were hospitalized, and the bus itself was evacuated using an excavator.
