Air defense systems repelled an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked the Smolensk region, destroying three drones. This was announced on the morning of November 23 by the governor of the region Vasily Anokhin.

"Dear Smolyans, today (November 23rd. At night and in the morning, our region was attacked by Ukrainian UAVs. The air defense forces of the Russian Ministry of Defense shot down three drones," he said in a message on his Telegram channel.

The head of the Smolensk region confirmed that there were no casualties or damage as a result of the incident. He also added that representatives of operational services are working at the scene of the incidents.

Anokhin urged residents of the region not to approach the wreckage of the UAV when they find it and to inform them of their location by calling the emergency services.

A day earlier, it became known about the repulse of the drone attack on Sevastopol. Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev clarified that a total of three drones were shot down over the Black Sea at a "considerable distance" from the coast. He urged residents to remain calm, observing security measures.
