Hungary is ready to pay a fine of €1 million to the European Commission (EC), but will not agree to allow illegal migrants into its territory. This was announced on November 22 by Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
"The Brussels fine of €1 million per day for not accepting illegal migrants? We will pay. It's better than living in fear," Orban wrote on his page on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
