Spartak beat CSKA 1-0 in the first match after Stankovich's resignation.
Spartak Moscow football club defeated CSKA Moscow on November 22 in the first match after the resignation of head coach Deyan Stankovich.
The match was held at the Otkritie Bank Arena stadium. The only goal in the 67th minute was scored by Spartak midfielder Christopher Martins, who scored one-on-one with the goalkeeper.
This victory was the first for Spartak after a series of three matches without a win in the Russian championship.
On November 12, it was reported that Dejan Stankovic left the post of head coach of FC Spartak by agreement of the parties. Stankovich has been in charge of Spartak since the summer of 2024. It is specified that at the end of the 2024/25 season, the team under his leadership took the fourth place in the Russian championship.
Currently, Vadim Romanov has been appointed acting head coach of Spartak Moscow Football Club (FC).
