The presentation of the new film version of Pinocchio took place at the Fandom Fest

The annual VK Fandom Fest forum has started in Moscow. Experts in video games, comics and movies gather there, and in addition to lectures, they offer to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of superheroes, fantastic scenarios and even a fabulous universe. Pinocchio is one of the main stars of the forum today.

The idols of the buzzers came down from the pages of comics and pushed the boundaries of the computer world to gather under one roof and chat over a cup of coffee.

"I am Feinon from the popular game Honkai: Star Rail. The character is a game character, so to speak, a five-star person," said one of the participants.

Swordsmen, unicorns, and fairy-tale wizards from parallel worlds discussed the latest trends and brands at the festival of popular anime, cartoon, and computer game characters.

"The superhero festival gathered a lot of fans, and Pinocchio, who appeared here, turned out to be one of his own, and not only because he is made of wood," said Alexander Nadsadny, a correspondent for Izvestia.

The wooden boy with the long nose from the good old fairy tale turned out to be recognizable today, although he appeared in the media space 90 years ago.

As soon as the melody of the famous fairy tale began to play, the festival guests began to sing along with his name in syllables. The favorite story of several generations based on the fairy tale by Alexei Tolstoy from the first notes and frames hooked the most sophisticated youth environment.

"These songs are like from childhood. It's very similar to some kind of high standard, which I just wanted to see before the New Year," the visitors added.

In the new "Pinocchio" there are not only recognizable characters, there are also new ones, for example, three cockroaches that replaced the wise cricket.

"Despite the fact that this is the same fairy tale, about the same wooden boy, every time it's some kind of original thing with new meanings, this is the meaning of the generational change," says screenwriter Andrei Zolotarev.

The modern wooden boy was created using computer graphics and motion capture technology. Sensors and cameras recorded the movements and facial expressions of actress Vita Kornienko during filming, so that the fabulous little man turned out to be animated and lively.

"My Pinocchio looks like me visually, he even has dimples like I have, he was made according to my 3D model. Of course, he is also similar in character, because I created him, he has a piece of my soul in him," the actress said.

The film "Pinocchio" features a dream acting team, which complemented the already well-known plot with modern colors. The bright decorations emphasized the fairy-tale world, so that the actors in complex makeup and expressive costumes could not play, but simply live, turning the fairy tale into reality.

"My costume helped me a lot. It seemed terribly uncomfortable to me at first. My shoes clicked a lot when I walked around the pavilion," said Stepan Belozerov, the performer of the role of Pierrot.

The new fairy tale film has recognizable notes, the music was written by the same composer Alexey Rybnikov, but thanks to his arrangements, old hits now sound in a new way, and the actors had to take choreography lessons to hone complex dance steps. The fabulous mood is created with the help of complex makeup, costumes, computer graphics and special effects, so that the old story about important human values can be watched by the whole family as soon as the New Year's clock strikes.
