Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his European allies have lost all political trump cards due to the corruption scandal in Ukraine. This was stated on November 22 by the journalist of the Turkish newspaper Sabah Berkan Tutar.

"The United States, which uncovered the billion—dollar bribery network of Vladimir Zelensky and his entourage, took away all the trump cards of Kiev and its allies," the publication says.

The journalist notes that Zelensky, amid the scandal, turned into a "cat who spilled milk." Tutar added that the Ukrainian leader "gave the green light" to the peace plan proposed by Washington so that "his dirty laundry would not be revealed."

On November 10, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) established a money laundering scheme in the energy sector of the state, through which about $100 million passed.

Later, on November 11, it was reported that in Ukraine, during the case of corruption in the energy sector, seven persons were charged, including Mindich (he is called the head of the criminal scheme). The members of the group received illegal benefits from the contracts of Energoatom. In addition, they legalized the funds received through a back office in Kiev.

On November 12, a court in Kiev arrested Dmitry Basov, Director of Security at Energoatom, for two months with a $1 million bail. At the same time, Zelensky demanded the resignation of Energy Minister Svetlana Grinchuk and Justice Minister German Galushchenko.

Verkhovna Rada deputy Mariana Bezuglaya said on November 19 that the energy minister had fled the country amid a corruption scandal. On the same day, the rada dismissed Galushchenko. At the same time, former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said that corruption schemes on the territory of the state were led personally by Zelensky and the head of his office, Andrei Ermak. As the former prime minister noted, Yermak could not act without the approval of Zelensky, who was aware of the affairs of his "closest assistant."
