The conflict in Ukraine, as well as disagreements between the countries of the European Union (EU), have reached a "turning point." This was announced on November 22 by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

He noted that while US President Donald Trump is working to establish a truce, Europe has only two options left: to support the US president or to continue "pouring money and weapons into Ukraine."

"We can break the deadlock, and finally the whole of Europe will be able to support President Trump's peace initiative, including the bureaucrats in Brussels," Orban wrote on his Facebook page (the owner of Meta is recognized as extremist in Russia and banned).

According to him, European leaders should recognize the fact that "by giving money to Ukraine, they simply burned it." He noted that in the second case, the EU's behavior would only lead to a European-Russian conflict. Orban also added that Hungary is choosing the path of peace.

On November 19, NBC News channel announced a new plan for resolving the Ukrainian crisis, which includes 28 points. Among them are the reduction of the size of the Ukrainian army and the volume of military assistance to Kiev, the granting of the state status to the Russian language, as well as the recognition of Donbass and Crimea as part of Russia.

After that, on November 20, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) newspaper, citing sources, reported that the European Union (EU) countries, which are dissatisfied with the US plan to resolve the Ukrainian conflict, are preparing a counter-proposal. The publication clarifies that Europe is trying to convince Ukraine to support their plan, which can be completed in the coming days.

Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Moscow had received a 28-point plan from Washington, which, according to him, could be used "as the basis for a final peaceful settlement."
