- Garbuzov spoke about the increase in production by confectionery factories in Moscow
Since the beginning of the year, Moscow has produced over 5.1 thousand tons of chocolate products, which is almost 39% more than in the first three quarters of 2024. This was stated by Anatoly Garbuzov, Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Investment and Industrial Policy Department.
He recalled that in the strategy for the development of the Moscow industry until 2030, approved by the Mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, the food industry is identified as one of the priorities. "Today, more than 350 enterprises are engaged in the production of food products in the city. At the same time, about a third of them produce various confectionery products," Garbuzov said.
In total, 120 enterprises produce cakes, candies, pastries and other sweets in the capital. Companies are expanding their product range, including taking into account seasonal demand in preparation for the holidays.
In particular, the United Confectioners holding, which includes the Krasny Oktyabr, Rot Front and Babaevsky factories, has developed 57 types of sweet sets for the New Year. They will soon appear on store shelves across the country. Every year, by the New Year holidays, the company produces about five million units of such kits.
The Healthy Chocolate company presented an alternative to traditional holiday sweets. The sets from her collection include, for example, marzipan bars with natural sweeteners and chocolate.
The Snacksy company, which specializes in the production of protein bars, has increased sales by 130% since the beginning of the year. The company has introduced several new products to the market, including lactose-free souffles based on artisan chocolate and pectin marmalade without gelatin and sugar.
Mayor Sergei Sobyanin previously spoke about the strategy for the development of the capital's industry. The manufacturing industry has become the most important driving force of the city's economy, employing more than 755,000 people. The Moscow government supports high-tech industries and is also working to improve the accessibility and quality of industrial infrastructure.
