In the Altai Territory, a man was detained who hit three pedestrians in Slavgorod with a Mercedes car and fled the scene. This was announced on November 22 in the press service of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region.

"Currently, the driver who committed a serious accident in Slavgorod and fled the scene has been detained in accordance with Article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation. The Slavgorodsky investigator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia is preparing a petition to the court for the election of a preventive measure in the form of detention," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.

It is noted that a criminal case has been initiated and is being investigated under paragraph "b" of Part 4 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles"). In addition, it is noted that the driver had previously been brought to administrative responsibility three times for speeding.

On November 21, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Kuzbass reported that two people died in an accident in Tyazhinsky district. It was clarified that the driver of the Valdai truck did not take into account road and meteorological conditions, did not choose a safe speed, as a result of which he drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Gazelle car.
