Russia is ready for peaceful negotiations to resolve the situation in Ukraine, but at the same time, the current dynamics on the front line correspond to the interests of the Russian Federation. This was announced on November 21 by Russian leader Vladimir Putin at a meeting with permanent members of the Security Council.

"As I have said many times before, we are ready for peaceful negotiations and peaceful solutions to problems. However, this requires, of course, a substantive discussion of all the details of the proposed plan. We are ready for this," Putin said.

The President warned that Kiev's refusal to discuss the peace plan proposed by the United States would lead to a repeat of the situation with Kupyansk in other key sectors of the front. He noted that such events "will inevitably be repeated."

Putin attributed the position of the Ukrainian side to the lack of objective information about the real state of affairs at the front, which indicates the low competence of the Kiev authorities. At the same time, he stated that the development of events at the front, if negotiations are refused, leads to the achievement of Russia's goals by military means, and "on the whole, we are satisfied with this."

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on the same day that Russia remains on the platform of the discussions that took place in Anchorage on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.

Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said on November 12 that the situation in relations between Russia and the United States could not be called a pause, as contacts between the two countries were conducted at various levels.
