On November 21, Russian designer, entrepreneur and blogger Artemy Lebedev spoke out against the partial opening of the borders with Finland — in his opinion, they should be fully opened, and it is not worth agreeing to other options.

"I don't think we should agree to that. The border should be fully opened <...>. Only then should we agree to open the borders," he said in one of the news releases posted on his page on the VKontakte social network.

According to Lebedev, the Finnish authorities should also fully issue visas to Russians. He clarified that the closure of the borders with the Russian Federation was not initially beneficial for Helsinki.

On November 13, the Yle television company reported, citing a statement by the head of the Finnish border security unit, Jussi Napola, about the country's readiness to resume traffic on the border with Russia if it opens, but not at all checkpoints. According to him, before the border was closed, traffic was only 18%, and currently, according to the Finnish side, the flow may be even lower due to sanctions and visa restrictions.
