The Kuntsevsky Court of Moscow satisfied the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office against the former minister of the Moscow government, ex-head of the Department of Culture Alexander Kibovsky and recovered property worth billions of rubles. This was reported to Izvestia on November 21 in court.

Earlier it was reported that the official income of Kibovsky and his family members for the period from 2010 to 2024 amounted to 211 million rubles, but they purchased real estate and cars worth more than 226 million rubles, including seven apartments in Moscow and the Moscow region, expensive cars and motorcycles.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, part of the property was reissued after the criminal case was initiated in 2023, so the agency requests that these transactions be declared null and void and interim measures be taken before the lawsuit is considered. In addition, the prosecutor's office demands to recover 37 million rubles of Kibovsky's income from securities transactions for 2020-2024, since this income, according to the investigation, was obtained as a result of corruption violations.

Earlier, on July 17, 2024, it was reported that Kibovsky was detained and charged with eight counts of accepting bribes worth more than 100 million rubles and one count of attempted fraud. The investigation found that he assisted commercial organizations in concluding government contracts, acting as part of an organized group. The Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow extended his detention until March 2025.

The trial in Kibovsky's case is scheduled for February 4, and the investigation expects that the process will allow to establish the full amount of illegally acquired property, as well as to determine the degree of involvement of trusted persons and family members in hiding assets.
