Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center, spoke on Friday, November 21, about the weather in Moscow and the region in late autumn.

According to the forecaster, the air temperature will be low until the beginning of December.

"This curve is dancing around the zero mark all the time. There will be slight temperature fluctuations. A minus is expected on Monday night, and a plus again in the afternoon," he said in an interview with Radio 1.

Shuvalov noted that precipitation is in the solid phase, that is, it can change from rain to liquid snow.

"It will start with snow and negative temperatures, and end with rain and positive temperatures. There will be no heavy precipitation over the weekend, but it will come on Monday. At the same time, the wind will howl from the northwest to the southeast," he concluded.

Earlier in the day, Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency, warned that ice would remain in the capital next week, the Moscow City News agency reports.

She noted that on Sunday, November 23, there will be light snow in places at night, and a mixed precipitation phase is expected in the afternoon against a temperature background of 0 degrees, RT reports.

On November 20, the Hydrometeorological Center warned about the extension of the "yellow" danger level previously introduced in the capital due to icy conditions until Saturday, November 22. This warning about the occurrence of icy-frost deposits on roads also applies to the Moscow region.
