- The court recognized Gadzhiev, an ex-deputy from Dagestan, and his family members as extremists
The Sovetsky District Court in Makhachkala recognized Magomed Gadzhiev, a former deputy of the State Duma from Dagestan who fled the country (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation), as well as his closest relatives— his son and sister, as members of an extremist association. This was announced on November 21 by the press service of the courts of the region.
It is noted that during the meeting, the court satisfied the administrative claim of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia against former State Duma deputy Gadzhiev and persons controlled by him.
"The court recognized Gadzhiev M.T., his son, sister and cohabitant as members of an extremist association and, in connection with the established facts of their providing material and other support to the armed aggression of the Kiev regime against the people of Donbass, banned their activities on the territory of the Russian Federation," the courts said in a Telegram channel.
In order to eliminate the Gadzhievs' sources of financing, the family's assets in the amount of more than 2 billion rubles were seized in favor of the state. They include a full package with a share in the authorized capital of an LLC under their control, money in accounts, 52 real estate objects with 18 land plots, as well as commercial buildings and premises.
In August of this year, it became known about the statement of claim of the Prosecutor General's Office, according to which Gadzhiev handed over confidential information to the West for $ 45 million. In addition, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation filed a lawsuit to seize real estate from Gadzhiev with a total value of more than 2 billion rubles and demanded that the group created by family members of the former deputy be recognized as an extremist association.
On November 13, Ukrainian neo-Nazi Todor Panovsky, who was convicted in absentia in Russia in the case of the attack on the Russian consulate in Odessa, said that an attempt had been made on his life in August. According to him, the former State Duma deputy Magomed Hajiyev, who was recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation and fled the country, was behind his organization.
