Russia is open to peaceful negotiations, but it is also satisfied with the current dynamics on the fronts, which leads to the achievement of the goals of the special military operation (SVO) by military means. This was announced on November 21 by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with members of the Security Council.

"And in general, we are satisfied with this, since it leads to the achievement of its goals by armed means, during the armed struggle. But we are also ready for peaceful negotiations, for solving problems peacefully," Putin said.

The President noted that events such as the recent establishment of control over Kupyansk will inevitably be repeated in other key sectors of the front. He stressed that a substantive discussion of all the details of the proposed plan is necessary for a peaceful settlement.

Addressing Kiev and European countries, the Russian leader confirmed Moscow's readiness for dialogue, but pointed out that refusing to negotiate would lead to continued hostilities until the goals were achieved.

On November 19, the Axios portal reported on the details of the US plan to resolve the Ukrainian conflict. It involves the transfer of the territories of Donbass controlled by Ukraine to the Russian Federation in exchange for security guarantees from Washington.

Later, US President Donald Trump said in an interview with Fox News that Ukraine would lose the remaining parts of Donbass in a short time. Along with this, the American leader set November 27 as the deadline for the adoption of the plan by the Ukrainian side.

At the same time, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky indicated that the country is going through one of the most difficult moments in its history. The President of Ukraine added that the next week will be difficult for the government. However, Ukraine plans to focus on working with the United States and other partners to find constructive solutions.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said during a briefing that there had been no substantive discussion of the US peace plan with Russia. However, according to him, the effective work of the Russian military should convince Zelensky that it is better to negotiate and do it now.
