For the first time in Russia, a passport was created in the format of the MAX mobile application

Russian citizens will be able to confirm their age using a digital ID using a passport in the MAX mobile application. This was stated to Izvestia on November 21 by the vice president of Vkontakte, Farit Khusnoyarov.

According to him, you can use this feature by downloading the MAX app. Next, you need to take a trusted photo, after which users will download age data from Gosuslug. So, it will be possible to confirm it using a QR code.

"For the first time in the history of our country, we managed to make an abortion in the format of a mobile application. Now it works for age confirmation scenarios," Khusnoyarov said.

In addition, Russians can use a digital ID, including to confirm purchases at self-service cash desks. Currently, the technology has already been implemented in 10 thousand stores.

"For our citizens, coming to such a store is a kind of entertainment format and enjoying the opportunity to use such new technologies," said Oman Chekushov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

It is specified that the digital ID was developed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Finance and Public Services.
